Vaulted ceilings, a bright open layout, and big windows facing the mountain. The California king window bed is the best seat in the house for watching the first chair go up.

After skiing, light the gas fireplace, put something on the big Roku TV, and cook in a full kitchen with pantry staples, an Instant Pot, crockpot and air fryer. There's a shared gas grill outside and free laundry on the garage level.

The Copper Mountain Athletic Club (pool, hot tub, sauna, gym) and Woodward are a 5-minute walk, with a daily fee.

Where everyone sleeps

• King bed in the loft, with its own TV and privacy curtains
• California king window bed in the living room
• Daybed that converts into two twin beds
• Two single floor mattresses stored under the window bed

The loft is reached by a spiral staircase and has a railing, so it isn't recommended for small children.
